Birmingham City Schools Fraud Hotline
All calls are confidential and the caller's identity will remain anonymous

BCS Fraud Hotline

The Birmingham City School System is committed to the highest possible standards of ethical, moral and legal business conduct. We have a commitment to cultivate high ethical standards and to promote conduct that strengthens public trust and confidence in the integrity of our work. In line with this commitment, the district has established an anonymous reporting hotline. The hotline is intended to be used to report serious concerns or questionable actions that:

  • May lead to incorrect financial reporting
  • Are unlawful
  • Are not in line with Birmingham City School System policies and procedures
  • Amount to serious improper conduct.

The hotline is operated by a third-party provider. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, for use by employees or the general public who wish to report an incident anonymously.

Call the Birmingham City School System Hotline to report incidences such as:

Theft or embezzlement

Misuse of district property

Vandalism and sabotage

Violation of the law

Violation of district policies and procedures

Bribery or kickbacks

Alcohol and substance abuse

Falsification of contracts, reports or records

Discrimination

Unsafe working conditions

Ethical violations

Sexual harassment

Improper conduct

Intimidation

Threats

Possession of a weapon

All calls to the hotline should be made in good faith to report fraud, waste or abuse rather than as a means for malicious allegations or to report general dissatisfaction with supervisors or job duties.
